Dr. Howard Schutzman
Dr. Howard Schutzman received his DVM in 1981 from Cornell University. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Schutzman decided on a career in veterinary medicine while still in grade school. In 1986 he and his business partner, Dr. Arnold Gutlaizer, founded Broadway Veterinary Associates and opened practices in Oakland and Antioch. As a veterinarian, Dr. Schutzman finds the challenge of difficult cases most rewarding and is dedicated to offering all clients the highest level of care and service. Dr. Schutzman enjoys travel, reading, basketball, backgammon and spending time with his family. Dr. Schutzman and his wife have three adult children, two dogs, and two cats.
Dr. Jennifer Boyle
Dr. Jennifer Boyle received her DVM from the University of California at Davis in 1996 and has been a staff veterinarian with Antioch Veterinary Hospital since 1996. Raised in Petaluma, California, Dr. Boyle made the decision to become a veterinarian at the age of 10 after her beloved dog passed away. Dr. Boyle finds working with animals and improving their quality of life extremely rewarding. She lives in Oakley with her husband Tom, their two children, two Chihuahua’s. When she manages to get some free time she enjoys scrapbooking, jigsaw puzzles, and traveling.
Dr. Ken Gonsier
Dr. Ken Gonsier decided on a career as a veterinarian at age 10. He grew up in New Jersey and received a BA from Dartmouth and then earned his DVM from the University of California at Davis Vet School in 1989. He joined Antioch Veterinary Hospital that same year. Dr. Gonsier finds helping people and patients especially rewarding. He thoroughly enjoys hiking with his family and loves coaching his daughter’s basketball team. He and his wife, Lisa, have been married for over 22 years and have two beautiful daughters, one cat, and one dog.
Dr. Rosemary Panduro
Dr. Rosemary Panduro earned her DVM from the University of California at Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She joined the staff at Antioch Veterinary Hospital in 2001 and has found that for her, helping animals and educating their owners is the most rewarding part of being a veterinarian. Dr. Panduro enjoys meeting new people and learning new things. Her hobbies include salsa dancing, shopping and traveling. She and her husband Gregory, an airline pilot, and their beautiful daughter, share their home with three dogs.
Dr. Stacey Wright
Dr. Stacey Wright earned her DVM from Michigan State University in 1995. She has done relief work around the country, has owned her own mobile practice and joined Antioch Veterinary Hospital in 2013. She grew up in Orange County, California and went to school at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Dr. Wright has a special interest in veterinary dentistry. She has two dogs as well as six cats. She enjoys NFL football, college football, college basketball, intramural softball and gardening. Go Spartans!
Dr. Ryan Koopmans
Dr. Ryan Koopmans joined us in April of 2016 from Connecticut. He earned his DVM from Iowa State University in 2012. He grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and thus is a diehard Nebraska Cornhuskers alumnus. Dr. Koopmans also serves in the Army Reserve as a Veterinarian. He has two beautiful little girls and a wonderful wife who is also a Veterinarian. He enjoys soccer, spending time with family, traveling, and free time. Go Big Red!

Krista Hammer - Office Manager
Krista Hammer joined Antioch Veterinary Hospital in 2006 after serving in the Army for 8 years as an administrative specialist. She prides herself on providing a nurturing and supportive environment that helps clients pets receive the very best veterinary care available. She finds the community work Antioch Veterinary Hospital provides East County residents especially rewarding. In her spare time, she enjoys BBQing, a proud skill she learned from her Pops, relaxing on the beach with a good book, and gardening. She has 2 daughters, a son, and 2 cats she adores.
